Espresso’s main contribution to Phase 1 of the Learning2Go project was to adapt some of our conventional Espresso for Schools Primary service to run on the mobile device selected by Wolverhampton – the Fujitsu Pocket Loox 720.
For Phase 2, Espresso has created original content to be used in the project. Dave Whyley, the Headteacher ICT Consultant for the LA has created this presentation which offers advice to LAs considering running their own mobile learning projects.
The early success in terms of engagement and attainment (as measured by actual KS2 SATs levels achieved versus projected levels) has been remarkable. The results – widely disseminated in educational events and conferences – have sparked a keen interest by other LAs in running their own projects. The Learning 2Go has won the Becta ICT in Practice Collaboration Award.
