We are very proud to announce that Espresso's training capability has been recognised nationally for its training achievements - covering training development, management, delivery and operations. This is our first ever non-education sector award, which makes it even more significant for the company.
This Award is presented to a training department within a private sector organisation providing IT training to internal clients. Candidates must demonstrate consistent high quality and innovation - both in terms of content, client support and instructional techniques. In particular, the judges will be seeking clear differentiators from other entrants to the Award, evidence of innovation and client endorsement, and a strong proposition in response to the challenge "why this year?"
The judges’ citation reads:
The judges were impressed at the way that Espresso Group was really close to its customers – on a number of levels – the teaching curriculum, the LEA, the school itself and the teacher. In addition it clearly understood government ICT plans. The company employed a number of feedback models, and there were good post-training evaluations. This is a fully blended solution – face to face, online and other value add to support product training.
Alan Bellinger, chair of the judges and of the Institute, says: “Espresso Group takes an innovative approach to training, which has been deployed extremely well. What Espresso Group provides is not just a product but support and help to teachers and schools – overall it is a fantastic product with a very good service behind it.”
Shortlisted companies in other categories included HSBC, IBM, Ricoh, Carphone Warehouse, Axa UK as well as many smaller IT companies which specialise in delivering training to their clients. We are pleased to be listed among these leading companies.
For many years now, one of Espresso’s unique offerings has been the quality, depth and care taken with the training we provide to schools. And, from the feedback we get from schools, we know it is consistently one of the things that they appreciate most about our company.
We would like to extend our thanks and congratulations to the many high-quality trainers that work on our behalf all across the UK. We also hope that schools will be as proud as we are - as they are now being booked and trained by an 'IT Training Award winning' training department.
