Espresso Education, double award winners at this year's BETT and the pioneers of the development and delivery of broadband educational content, today announce partnerships with each company supplying content caches to the education sector.
These partnerships mean that, whatever the caching choice made by a Regional Broadband Consortium, or by a Local Authority, they are assured that their chosen solution will deliver Espresso's unique updating schools' content service.
Espresso today confirms and announces that its content is assured to run and update over the following devices:
At Espresso's stand at the NAACE exhibition (G1) visitors can see each device running Espresso. Having initially piloted on Equiinet's CachePilot, Espresso has now completed commercial installations in schools of each of the devices, and confirms that updating of content over terrestrial links (minimum connectivity required ISDN2) is taking place with each week.
These relationships have been formed over several months, and follow the decision by DfES to recommend LAs to pursue a caching policy and to make a cache recommendation to their schools. Each of the chosen devices confirms or exceeds the BECTA cache specification.
Espresso's Technical Director, Tony Tinnirello comments:
Our objective is simple. Espresso represents the best digital content available today and it is increasing demand from schools and LAs. We are ensuring that subscribers can be guaranteed an excellent Espresso service, regardless of their technology decisions.
