Espresso is shortlisted for two prestigious BETT 2004 Awards!

We at Espresso are thrilled to announce that we have been shortlisted for two BETT Awards:

  1. BETT Awards 2004Online Learning Resources
    Aim of Award: To recognise innovation in and commitment to early years and primary educational content and tools marketing; in particular recognising the needs and demands of this age and ability range and showing unique ways of delivering learning outcomes using an interactive medium.
    Shortlisted: Espresso Education - Espresso for Primary service

  2. Early Years and Primary Software
    Aim of Award: to recognise the creativity, innovation and commitment of an organisation or company in developing high quality and effective learning resources deliverable online, either free or subscription.
    Shortlisted: Espresso Education - Poetry Workshop

The prestigious BETT Awards are intended to "reward excellence in ICT," showing the link between high quality ICT and effective educational practice. According to Owen Lynch, Chief Executive, Becta:

"Increasingly the focus of the Awards is on how successfully the winning hardware, software and online learning resources have been integrated into teaching, learning, management and administration, so demonstrating their ability to transform teaching and learning."

The awards will be presented at a ceremony on the evening of 7th January 2004 so be sure to stay tuned!
